The name of God

We live on earth and the name of God and what God is can be very different for different peoples. Some think of God as a universal essence while others think of god as a man in the sky with a long beard looking down on us with scorn. Whatever the case may be, again we have those dogma pushers whom wish to impose their concept of God on the masses. If you do not accept their concept of God, or use the word for god found in their “language” you are a non-believer and even in danger of the fires of hell. Oh how we have heard this story before. That is why tolerance and moderation are two aspects of spiritual evolution that I hope to share with any travelers here at the Sufi-Gnostic Society.
Please bare in mind that God spelled backwards is “Dog” and the German word for god “Gott” is very similar in phonics to the English word Goat. Indeed I do not believe English was the language of divinity.
Throughout the ages certain individuals with goals for division and hate have worked to promote the idea that the Islamic “god” is not the same as the Christian or Jewish God. We should first consider the fact that Jesus spoke Aramaic. This is a known fact by the writings of most educated Christian, Jewish and Muslim scholars. Aramaic was the same language Arabic descended from and they share striking similarities. It is true that Hebrew, Arabic and Aramaic all share many common root words. However, Hebrew was not spoken as a conversational language during the time of Jesus and was reserved for the synagogue and religious prayers. Many old prayers are orginally Aramaic converted into the Hebrew alphabet.
Aramaic descended from the Phoenician. The word for god or lord in Aramaic is “Allaha” and this was the language of Jesus. I will provide resources for all of this information. Let us begin with this reference from wikapedia (online Canadian encyclopedia) in regards to the Aramaeans who spoke Aramaic:

During the twelfth century BCE, Aramaeans, the native speakers of Aramaic, began to settle in great numbers in modern-day Syria, Iraq and eastern Turkey. As the language grew in importance, it came to be spoken throughout the Mediterranean coastal area of the Levant, and spread east of the Tigris. Jewish settlers took the language with them into North Africa and Europe, and Christian missionaries brought it into Persia, India and even China.

So here we can deduce that the Jews were not the creators or original speakers of Aramaic, which was the language that Jesus spoke. Let us look also at this particular entry regarding Phoenician:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hebrew_language
As a language, Hebrew belongs to the Canaanite group of languages. Hebrew (Israel) and Moabite (Jordan) are Southern Canaanite while Phoenician (Lebanon) is Northern Canaanite.

Here we can see the reference to Phoenicians associated with Lebanon and not Jews or the area of Israel. All respect to our Jewish brothers and sisters of course.

Additional commentary:
Phoenician became one of the most widely used writing systems, spread by Phoenician merchants across the Mediterranean world, where it was assimilated by many other cultures and evolved. Many modern writing systems thought to have descended from Phoenician cover much of the world. The Aramaic alphabet, a modified form of Phoenician, was the ancestor of the modern Arabic and Hebrew scripts, as well as the Brāhmī script, the parent writing system of most modern abugidas in India, Southeast Asia, Tibet, and Mongolia.

Yes the Phoenicians were a mysterious and special people indeed.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elohim

Elohim (אֱלוֹהִים , אלהים ) is a Hebrew word which expresses concepts of divinity. It is apparently related to the Hebrew word ēl, though morphologically it consists of the Hebrew word Eloah (אלוה) with a plural suffix. Elohim is the third word in the Hebrew text of Genesis and occurs frequently throughout the Hebrew Bible. Its exact significance is often disputed.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allah
Allah (Arabic: الله, Allāh, is the standard Arabic word for “God”.[1] While the term is best known in the West for its use by Muslims as a reference to God, it is used by Arabic-speakers of all Abrahamic faiths, including Christians and Jews, in reference to “God”.

Here it specifically states that Christian and Arab Jews use the word “Allah” for god. Even with this knowledge you will find among those that possess hate in their hearts to write Allah is a moon god on different sites, and say that Allah is not the god of Abraham. They work to stir up division and hate from among the children of Adam. Jesus is mentioned in the Quran 93 times. This is the number of the star. Muslims believe in the virgin birth of Jesus and his miracles. His mother is chosen among the women of the worlds. Certain ill folk whom claim to be believers and for peace attack Muhammad and invent preposterous lies about him that have no foundation or truth in Shia, Sunni or Sufi teachings.

Let us review this commentary:

The term Allāh is most likely derived from a contraction of the Arabic article al- and ʾilāh “deity, god” to al-lāh meaning “the [sole] deity, God” (ho theos monos).[4] Another theory traces the etymology of the word to the Aramaic Alāhā.[4] Cognates of the name “Allāh” exist in other Semitic languages, including Hebrew and Aramaic.[3] The corresponding Aramaic form is אֱלָהָא ˀĔlāhā in Biblical Aramaic and ܐܰܠܳܗܳܐ ˀAlâhâ or ˀĀlōho in Syriac.[10] The term Allah is always used in the singular form; the plural form of the term does not exist in the Arabic language.

The last sentence is not accurate. Wikapedia is useful but anyone can post to it. It’s up to the community to write and dispute articles that are not factual. All of this is good except the last part. There is a plural (ending) of Allah that is used. Whether Muslims debate it to actual mean plural is another story. (hum) (هم) at the end of a word in Arabic creates the plural. In Islamic prayers the term “ اللهم” is used. This is the same as the “Elohim”
in Hebrew. אלהים

اللهم

אלהים

Above are the Allahum and Elohim in the Arabic and Hebrew script suggesting a plural divinity at first glance.

Now let us look at Allah, Allaha, and Eloh “ The Arabic, Aramaic and Hebrew words for God all sounding almost the same.”

الله
ܐܰܠܳܗܳܐ

אֱלָהָא

Now we have covered some fascinating aspects of these common tongues. This should abrogate any ignorance regarding the Christian, Muslim and Jewish god being different. The corrupt political factions of the world have utilized religion as a tool to manipulate the weak minded for years. However, as earthlings we can be triumphant and not allow our precious souls to be manipulated to kill each other over senseless wars that only benefit a Global elite. An elite that does not have any compassion or sympathy whether we live or die. We are sheep for them to exploit because we allow ourselves to be exploited. The masses are abused because they are weak in knowledge, spirit, humility and compassion. When the earthling loses these traits and blessings in character, she or he becomes a beast.  Will you continue to allow yourself to be a pawn on the chessboard or will you emancipate and become a Queen or King???

God bless
